The Ogun state commissioner of health, Babatude Ipaye has confirmed the outbreak of Lassa fever, saying a 20 year old patient is tested positive for the virus and has been moved to one of the isolation center set u by the state government.
The commissioner, said 66 persons who has contacted with the victim have been put under observation as he called on residents to remain calm.
Ipaye challenges residents to always maintain good environment and personal hygiene to contain the spread of the fever
